Questions and Answers

Do you have any general or specific questions? We’ve made a list of the most popular questions and their answers. If you still have any doubts, please get in touch directly.

How do I care for my oiled Bowl or cutting board?

Wipe off with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.  Do not immerse in water.  Oil as needed, (after several uses), with a mineral oil. We like Clark's cutting board oil.

Is my Wood bowl safe to eat from?

Yes! Most of our wood bowls are finished with oil and safe to eat from. Only the decorative bowls, finished with lacquer, would be best to use for dry items, such as fruit or candy, and just wipe out with a damp cloth to clean.

What do I do if I have questions about my purchase?

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns, at the above email address, and we will try to get back to you right away. You can also try calling the phone number listed above, leave your name and number, along with your question, and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Do you make custom wood pieces, such as Funeral urns or other various items?

Yes we do! Urns are made by the weight of the deceased, and therefore usually custom made as far as size. Also whatever you have in mind, simply ask and Chuck can let you know if he can make it.

Do you have a shop or store that I can visit?

We live in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, where Chuck has his woodworking shop and a display of our products, which you may see if you are interested, by appointment only. If you are in the area and want to stop by, give us a call, and hopefully we can set up a showing. However during Covid you would need to wear a mask.

Where do you get your wood for turning?

Most of the wood used for turning Bowls comes from trees in our yard.

What other custom made items do you have?

At the moment we have a redwood strip canoe and can make a canoe to order.
